Jessica earned her Doctorate of Nursing Practice at the University at Buffalo, her Master’s of Science in Nursing (Family Nursing Practitioner) at St. John Fisher College, and her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (Registered Nurse (RN) from The University of Rochester, all located in New York State. She worked as a Medical Surgical, Emergency Room, Travel, and Urgent care Registered Nurse (RN) from 2009-2015. She has worked as a Hospitalist, Urgent Care, and Emergency Room Nurse Practitioner as well since 2015 and continues to help two local hospitals with staffing as needed. She has been Nursing Faculty since 2015 and earned her Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) Certification.
Jessica has worked extensively with National Accreditation and the New York State board of Nursing to maintain a high level of accreditation and has worked as a mentor to her faculty and students. She has also worked closely with students preparing for the NCLEX-RN exam to help improve the first-time pass rates. She has worked to improve retention rates by supporting students to achieve their dreams of becoming an RN.
Outside of work, she has three young children that keep her busy, and you’ll find her spending time with family and friends or volunteering at her church or local volunteer ambulance organization.
