Francis has been a nurse for over 20 years and has a Master's Degree in Nursing with a specialty in education. He has a special interest in online/distance education and completed two of his nursing degrees at a distance.
He always enjoyed teaching and training and has been a preceptor to students and new graduates in the hospital as well as an informatics nurse training others. He has worked in and out of the hospital in many areas including radiation oncology, pain management, school nurse, stroke unit, cardiac, emergency, float team, and behavioral health.
He has earned the Certified Nurse Educator credential (CNE) through the National League for Nursing. He is also a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. In addition to teaching here at SKC he works in course development/instructional design and has earned the Quality Matters Teaching Online Certificate.
Francis enjoys kayaking, sailing, hiking, biking, and doing just about anything outdoors with his wife and two daughters. Francis wants you to know his mission is to help you achieve your goal of completing your degree.
