Eva Oruste – Advisor

Eva has served students at Salish Kootenai College for twenty years. In her various roles she has assisted with grant funded program management; organized workshops, camps, and training institutes for high school and college students, educators, practitioners, and the general public; taught courses; and served as an advisor and mentor to Social Work and Nursing students. She serves on SKC’s Community Service Day, Scholarship, and Foundation committees and is active in the community as a Polson Chamber of Commerce Ambassador.

Eva is an avid organic gardener, strong supporter of local food systems and sustainability efforts, and an outdoor enthusiast. When not digging in the dirt, climbing a mountain, skiing, or paddling across the lake, she enjoys spending quality time with her granddaughter, cooking, and sharing garden-fresh produce and huge pots of soup with many friends and family members.
